What we wash

Everything outside that stopped looking new.

Six surfaces, each one washed at the pressure and temperature it actually wants. Tap any of them for the detail.

One wash

Same siding. Same afternoon.

That green is algae, and it is growing into the surface rather than sitting on it. Pressure alone pushes it around. Hot water and the right detergent kill it, which is why it stays gone through the next season instead of coming back by spring.

His own jobs

Concrete and siding, before and after.

Nine jobs finished around Crossville. Each pair is the same surface, shot before the wash and after it.

Concrete

Covered concrete walkway before washing, greyed with algae and pale rings where planters had stoodBefore
The same covered walkway after hot water washing, clean and even along its whole lengthAfter
Covered walkway. The algae and the rings left by planters lifted out of the surface.
Commercial storefront sidewalk before washing, dark traffic grime worked into the concreteBefore
The same storefront sidewalk after washing, clean and even from the doors out to the curbAfter
Storefront sidewalk. The whole run taken back in a single visit.
Residential concrete driveway before washing, dulled to flat grey with leaf litter across itBefore
The same driveway after washing, back to a clean tan finish from the road to the turnaroundAfter
Driveway. Back to the colour it was poured.
Concrete walkway beside a ball field fence before washing, darkened with grime and weeds coming through the jointsBefore
The same walkway after hot water washing, clean and even along the full runAfter
Ball field walkway. The whole run taken back in one visit.
Concrete apron in front of a pavilion before washing, mottled grey across the slabBefore
The same pavilion apron after washing, an even light finish from the steps outAfter
Pavilion apron. Even again from the steps out to the drive.
Concrete apron at a townhome building before washing, dark traffic marks worked into the slabBefore
The same apron after washing, clean and still wet enough to mirror the buildingAfter
Townhome apron. Traffic marks and grime off the full pour.

Siding and buildings

The same gable end after soft washing, the siding back to clean tanAfter
Gable end. The green came off and the siding went back to its own colour.

The same outbuilding after washing, door and siding back to whiteAfter
Outbuilding. Door and siding back to white.
Long side wall of a building before soft washing, algae streaked down the panelsBefore

The difference is hot water

60°F

Cold water

Moves loose dirt around. Anything oily or organic stays exactly where it is.

60 degrees, Cold water. Moves loose dirt around. Anything oily or organic stays exactly where it is.

120 degrees, Warm. Starts to lift surface film, but algae and mildew survive at the root and come straight back.

180 degrees, Hot. Grease and hydraulic residue release instead of smearing. Dwell time drops, so less pressure is needed on the surface.

250 degrees, Steam. Kills what is growing rather than moving it, which is why a hot-water clean lasts seasons instead of weeks.

Who turns up

Rodney, and nobody else to chase.

AquaTek is family owned and Rodney does the work. Read the reviews and he is the one named in them: brought the cement back to life, polite and professional, such a hard worker. That is a one-man standard, and it is the reason it does not vary from one job to the next.

Houses, roofs, driveways, decks and commercial buildings. If a job is not one he should be doing, he will tell you so rather than take the booking.

A wash is the cheapest thing that changes how a property photographs. Realtors and sellers, ask about turnaround before your shoot date.
